INSPIRED Event creates STEM Opportunities for Young Families

This February, Sir Isaac Newton Sixth Form’s annual INSPIRED event brought science, technology, engineering and maths activities to the next generation of children. There were activities for the whole family throughout the sixth form, engaging and entertaining budding scientists with Bunsen burners, maths games and daffodil dissections!
Jess Gopee, KS5 Specialist Lead at Sir Isaac Newton Sixth Form said:
“INSPIRED 2025 was a great success showcasing a variety of STEM related activities and experiments. Staff and students from Sir Isaac Newton Sixth Form and King Edward VII Academy were keen to explain how science affects our everyday life and colleagues from the Maths Hub encouraged visitors of all ages to partake in maths games and puzzles.
Dr Ken entertained visitors with his Circus Science Show and those who were able to crack the code from their treasure hunt were able to claim their INSPIRED badge. Thank you to everyone who supported the event and hopefully we will see many of our visitors return again next year.”
With over 300 visitors attending it was a huge success. The opportunity for young people to learn more about science, technology, engineering and maths whilst sparking curiosity in such a positive atmosphere was amazing.
