Sir Isaac Newton students have once again proven that their sixth form is one of the best in the county, after receiving their incredible A-level results today. 175 students have achieved their first place at University, with 17 students pursuing courses in medicine or dentistry.

16 students achieved A* in every subject they took, with more than half of our students achieving an A in at least one subject.

An impressive 86% of grades received were A*-C, 69% of those were B and above, which is a monumental achievement for students at the sixth form.

Chris Jennings, Principal at Sir Isaac Newton Sixth Form said:

“We are delighted with our students’ achievements this year.  These results reflect the hard work and determination they have shown, and we wish them every happiness as they take their next steps.”

Ellie said about her time at Sir Isaac Newton Sixth Form:

"I really enjoyed all of the social events. There was always something going on here, I've definitely enjoyed my time here and grown as a person."

Gracie was proud of her results and gave some advice to new students:

"I feel very happy and relieved. I achieved an A* in Psychology – really happy with that! It is a big change from high school. I realised that just because you do well at GCSE's doesn't mean you will at A levels - you need to keep putting in the work!"

Sir Isaac Newton Sixth Form works in partnership with Jane Austen College to provide its students with the highest-quality A-Level courses in humanities subjects. Students at both colleges benefit from the best teaching and academic support, with opportunities to get involved in a vast array of electives to build life-long skills.

Open evenings

Students interested in studying at this exceptional sixth form are invited to attend one of the two open events, which will be held on Tuesday 13th October and Wednesday 4th November from 5:30-8:30pm.
