Last week Year 12 Computer Science students at Sir Isaac Newton Sixth Form were given the opportunity to attend a speed networking event, where industry professionals gathered to build new connections and give some advice to the Year 12 students about careers in STEM fields.

The day saw many students gaining valuable insight into what opportunities were available to them, as well as being able to make new connections for the future.

Representatives from different sectors including games companies, software and technology companies and insurance were in atttendance and gave students a range of different options with what they could do with their qualifications.

Talking to industry professionals enabled students to ask questions and understand what they had achieved to get to their positions, both inspiring and educating students on next steps after Sir Isaac Newton Sixth Form.
